The 501(c)(3) Redmond Rotary Club Foundation funds grants, scholarships, investments, and organizes volunteer activities that align with Rotary International’s areas of focus. Because work is volunteered by members of the Rotary Club of Redmond and other community volunteers, nearly all money raised and donated goes straight to the causes it was raised and donated for.

The Redmond Rotary Club Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization owned by the Rotary Club of Redmond. It exists to organize and fund the grants, scholarships, and service projects that carry out Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self and its Seven Areas of Focus — both locally in Redmond, WA and internationally.

The Foundation has no paid staff. Every project, fundraiser, and dollar raised is handled entirely by volunteers — members of the Rotary Club of Redmond and other responsible community members who donate their time. That keeps overhead minimal, so a high percentage of every dollar donated or raised goes directly to good causes, rather than to administration.

What We DoGrants, Scholarships & Volunteer Service

Stinky Spoke

Our annual 20 mile mountain bike, gravel bike, and e-bike event held during the worst — okay, stinkiest — weather of the year at the Redmond Senior & Community Center. Proceeds support local and global humanitarian and educational causes.

Scholarships

The Foundation funds character-based scholarships for local Redmond High School students, helping open doors to continuing education for deserving members of the Redmond community.

Underdeveloped World Support

Past and present projects include installation of water and sanitation systems to Ethiopian villages, delivery of basic high school education to schools with no reliable power or any Internet service in the third world, microloans and other impactful investments.

Community Partnerships

Volunteers support food drives, invasive species removal projects at Redmond parks, therapeutic services for area residents with special needs, and other types of activities that make life better for the community.
